• *NO DEPOSIT is required but a credit card guarantee is due upon confirmation.
• The credit card charge is put through on the day before of the service in Canada in Canadian Funds.
• If your flight is late we wait with no additional wait-time charge.
• If your flight gets cancelled (and this happens a number of times each year) please pickup the phone or email us and advise us immediately.
• Hopefully you can also advise us of your new arrival time, date, airline and flight number.
• Failure to advise us of changes prior to the original pickup time will result in the billing of the trip.
• In the unlikely event you must cancel a 72 hour advance cancellation notice is required or you will be billed for the service as this is when the driver and vehicle are assigned.
• Poor weather and/or road conditions can close the Waterton Lakes Road a number of times during the year.
• Any extra accommodation expense, waiting for the road to open or en route, is paid for by the client.

• 1545 hrs. Board Glacier Park Inc "East Side Shuttle" on the United States side of the border to your destination in Glacier National Park.

  Service #1. For reservations with the Chief Mountain Shuttle please phone the Tamarack Outdoor Store at 403-859-2378 or email. The fare is CAD$20.00 per person, with a minimum charge of $60.00 if there is less than 3 people on the shuttle.

Consider us when your car rental company does not permit a one way rental; when you require service to/from Amtrak, when you can not find a schedule bus or plane service between Montana and Alberta or are combining a Montana vacation with the Canadian Rockies!

Year-round charter van service is offered between Calgary, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and most locations in Montana. Airport Shuttle Express can take you one-way OR round-trip. We can also pickup in the United States and bring you to Canada.

Yes, you could fly between Calgary and Montana via Seattle or Denver. Yes, you could take the bus via Vancouver, Seattle, Spokane, to Southern Montana at Missoula/Butte (1Day,18Hours,15Minutes Calgary to Butte), Yes, you could take the day long combination of companies shown on top of this page (in the hopes everything connects) OR you can use us! Airport Shuttle Express will pick you up at your location and take you to your destination!

How long does it take?

• It is a long way!
• The border is about 3 1/2 hours, one way, between Calgary and the Montana USA/Alberta Canadian border.
• There will be coffee stop(s) and a border wait time. (quick, to over an hour!)
• You still have to add the travel time to your destination in either Montana or Alberta.
• i.e.
  • From Calgary ....Kalispell, Whitefish, Glacier International Airport are about 6-7 hours, around 460 KMS (285 miles)!
  • From Calgary.....Great Falls is about 6 1/2 hours, around 525 km's (326 miles)!
  • From Calgary.....East Glacier is 4-5 hours, around 381 KMS (237 miles)!

Many ask us if they could "share a ride". If the other party says yes then a new lower rate is given. However, should one party decides to cancel then the original rate would apply! To obtain a van quote know where you are starting at and where you will be ending up! Glacier National Park does not help us to give you an accurate quote as our rates could be over $150.00 difference depending where in the Park are you going. Make sure you add Montana as there is a Canadian Glacier National Park in British Columbia. Charter van prices can vary depending on your destination, travel date and departure times, season and whether you are touring or going 'point to point.'

*Van Charter rate is based on ONE person/group paying for the complete charter (a five passenger van). **Share-Ride rates are per person based on two or more groups book with at least four (4) paying passengers. If there is more passenger we add larger equipment. A higher price may apply if there are less than the four paying passengers. If a party with "share-ride" cancels then the regular charter rate would apply unless another party can be found!

EXTRA COSTS:
A tip to the driver and the US Customs Van Clearance fee of USD10.75 payable directly to US Customs upon arrival at the border. US Customs proposed "processing fee" of USD5.50 per person payable to US Customs at the border, if implemented! Calgary Airport Authority Exit/Parking/Pickup fee of $28.08, if the pickup is at the Calgary Airport! Please note we can pick you up from ANY location in Calgary. Glacier National Park Admission Fees & Waterton National Park Admission Fees, if applicable. The 5% Goods and Service Tax is usually included in any quotes.
TERMS/CONDITIONS:
No deposit is required but a credit card guarantee. The credit card charge is put thru the day before the service in Canada in Canadian Funds. In the unlikely event you must cancel a 72 hour advance cancellation notice must be received or you will be billed for the service. If arriving in Calgary by air we wait for late flights, at no additional wait-time fee and will travel anytime, subject to road/weather/wind conditions as well as border open times. If your flight gets cancelled or miss-connect we need to know this prior to your original arrival time or you will be billed for the service. Hopefully you can advise us of your new arrival time, flight, airline and date.
RESERVE THE RIGHT:
Airport Shuttle Express reserves the right to open and check all luggage, including carryons! We reserve the right to ask for, and the driver keeps to the border, all documentation i.e. passports or other travel documents.
SHARE A RIDE:

REFUSAL AT THE BORDER:
In the unlikely event you are refused admission to the United States OR Canada Airport Shuttle Express will drive you back to the first border town, not the starting point, as the driver may have other commitments. Usually it if very difficult to get out of these town on public transit!
US Bound Clients
Your passport/border/travel documents for the border crossing has to be faxed to us three days prior to the service so we can forward the information on our manifest to US Customs/Immigration. This includes information on your nationality, Name on the Passport, Birth Date, Passport Number, Date Issued and Date the passport expires.
Price Change:
If you are booked, and IF there is a price increase, we honour the old price of your trip. If you have not booked, and there is a price increase, you will be billed for the new rate. Increase in taxes & Custom Fees are excluded.

On this return fare we would drive you into the United States to US Customs. US Customs usually gives you a form that you have volunteered to leave the USA. This paper is given to Canada Custom. You would go into the Canada Customs office for an interview and visa processing. Advance interview times should be arranged. The driver will wait up to two hours at no extra charge. Extra hours would be charge at $63.00 per hour. US Customs Fees may also apply.
"Direct" transfers
If the one way "driving" trip is over five hours, a driver's meal allowance and overnight hotel expense may also apply as the driver can not make it back to their starting point due to their "duty day" driving hours. This extra cost is paid by the client. Most Glacier locations on the Eastern Slopes do not require any driver's overnight; the Western Slope may or may not depending on your destination.
Touring transfers:
You may wish to consider "touring" as your one-way trip has a number of attractions/heritage stops en route. Should you wish to "tour" the driver's overnight hotel, either pre or post, and meal allowance plus extra wages will apply. In most touring cases we do not charge you an additional day rental for the van returning ("deadheading")to Calgary.
National Holiday Surcharge
Dates on Canadian National Holidays may result in a surcharge.
Advance Hotel Reservations
If USA bound please make your Glacier Park, Kalispell and/or Whitefish hotel reservations prior to leaving Canada. With our driver's time restraints we can not spend time driving around trying to find hotel accommodation in these popular summer/winter areas where most properties are "sold out", especial during Canadian/USA Holidays OR in Calgary during July's " Stampede!"

  AMTRAK CLIENTS

  Airport Shuttle Express operates "charter vans" between any of Montana's Amtrak Station and Calgary or Banff. The closest stations to Calgary are East Glacier & Browning while Whitefish is the closest station to Banff. The Amtrak train is the "Empire Builder". Make sure the Amtrak station is open...and the train stops...for the dates required. i.e. Browning station is open 03 Oct. 2011 to 30 April 2012. East Glacier station closes 02 Oct. 2011 and reopens on 01 May 2012. Check with Amtrak for details.

  CAR RENTAL CLIENTS.

  With advance reservations you can usually rent a car in Canada, take it into the United States and return it to Canada. The same applies when renting in the United States. You can rent a car in the United States, bring it into Canada and return it to the United States. However, the word is usually "NO" when you wish a one way rental! Canadians - Please check with the car rental company about taking USA Cars to Canada. In most cases the car company says "No"! YES, Airport Shuttle Express does ONE WAY TRANSFERS.

  • Montana - We can pick you up or drop you at any car rental location in Montana. The closest is East Glacier with two companies. Others are in Kalispell, Whitefish or Glacier International Airport. We have many clients using our trans border service who are heading one way to Yellowstone or Salt Lake City or further into the United States and from those locations to Canada.

  • Calgary - Renting/returning a car rental in Calgary. SAVE the Calgary Airport Authority Shuttle Pickup Charge (usually around CAD$25.00) by having us pick you up/drop at ANY Calgary Hotel. You may also save on extra airport fees by renting your car at an "off airport" location! i.e.

    • When you pickup your rent a car at the Calgary Airport the "Concession Recovery Fee" of 15.61% is payable. You can avoid paying this if you are picking up a car at an off airport location! Yes, you still have the "Energy Recovery Fee", "the Goods and Service Tax", "the Air Condition Excise Tax" and "the Customer Facility Charge" before you are introduced to the car rentals different insurance plans!
    • You may even find your car rental is priced less from a non airport location, even if you bring it back to the airport!
